Maria Nowakowska (born 14 March 1987) is a student from Legnica, Poland who was crowned Miss Polonia 2009. She was Poland's representative at Miss Universe 2010.[1][2]

Early life
Maria was born on March 14, 1987. She was born in Legnica, a city located on the Kaczawa river in south-western Poland.[3]
Education
As of January 2010[update], Maria is a third year business management student at Panstwowa Wyzsza Szkola Zawodowa (State Higher Vocational School) in Legnica, Poland. At the same time, she is currently working as a medical representative in a pharmaceutical company.[3]
Spare Time
In her spare time, when she is not attending school or working, she loves music, photography, playing tennis, and watching movies. She really admires Will Smith. In fact her favorite movie is “I Am Legend.” Her favorite book is “Da Vinci Code” and her favorite singer is Beyoncé.[3]
