North Jersey Media Group (NJMG) is an independent, family-owned media company providing local news, information and services to the residents of northern New Jersey. The company is headquartered in Woodland Park (formerly West Paterson) and is best known for its daily newspaper, The Record. Stephen A. Borg, President of NJMG, is the fourth generation of his family to act as publisher of the newspaper.. NJMG also publishes the Herald News (which covers Passaic County), more than 40 community newspapers and a family of glossy magazines, including (201), Bergen County's only monthly magazine. All of the publications contribute news, features, columns and local information to NorthJersey.com, the company's comprehensive website. The company also owns Bergen.com.[1]

North Jersey Media Group was formed in 2000 as an umbrella organization for all of the media interests of the Borg family, which has owned The Record since 1930.

As of March 8, 2010, the group is printing on a contract basis three Gannett Company-owned newspapers out of its Rockaway, New Jersey-based printing presses: the Journal News, the Poughkeepsie Journal, and USA Today[citation needed]

The company employs more than 1,000 people across a dozen locations in North Jersey.
