Philip Livingston Magnet Academy was one of four middle schools in the City School District of Albany, Albany, New York. The school is located in the West Hill neighborhood adjacent to the Tivoli Nature Preserve, the second largest Urban Wildlife Preserve in New York State. The school opened in 1932 with an enrollment of 1,392 students and graduated its last class of eighth graders in June 2009. It has been converted into senior housing.[2]

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014 as the Philip Livingston Junior High School.[1] It was built in 1931-1932, and is a three-story, "Y"-shaped, steel framed building clad in brick and cast stone. It has an eclectic mix of Colonial Revival and Art Deco design elements. It consists of a three-story central section with flanking wings and a rear cafeteria addition built in 1967. The five bay central section is topped by a copper-clad cupola.[3]:4
