Sir John Dalrymple, 2nd Baronet (1692–1751) was Member of Parliament (MP) for Haddington Burghs and the Principal Auditor of the Exchequer in Scotland.
Family
He was the son of Sir David Dalrymple, 1st Baronet and married Lady Christian Hamilton, daughter of Thomas Hamilton, 6th Earl of Haddington, by her he had issue:
- David Dalrymple, Lord Hailes.
- John Dalrymple, Lord Provost of Edinburgh
- Alexander Dalrymple Hydrographer and geographer.
