The Reading Teacher is a peer-reviewed academic journal published eight times per year by Wiley-Blackwell. The editors-in-chief are Diane Barone (University of Nevada) and Marla Mallette (Southern Illinois University). The Reading Teacher is one of three journals published on behalf of the International Reading Association. It covers practical teaching ideas, research, and professional development for teachers of children under age 12.
