Trioctylphosphine is an organophosphorus compound with the formula P(C₈H₁₇)₃ sometimes abbreviated TOP.^[1] It is a common reagent in the chemical synthesis of nanoparticles. Trioctylphosphine reacts with oxygen to form trioctylphosphine oxide.
