Bhera Tehsil (Urdu: تحصیل بھیرہ‎),is a subdivision (tehsil) of Sargodha District in the Punjab province of Pakistan. The tehsil's headquarters is situated in the city of Bhera.

Bhera (Urdu: بھیرہ), is a city and Tehsil headquarters in Sargodha district,.Punjab, Pakistan. On July 17, 2012, chief minister of Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Shrif announced it as a Tehsil on the demand of Mrs.Zubia Rubab Bharath MPA (PMLQ) and supported by Malik Mukhtar Ahmed Bharath MPA (PMLN). After that day it is recognized as Bhera Tehsil of Sargodha district. Bhera is situated among various historical cities. It is administratively subdivided into 16 Union Councils.[1] and 12 wards of Municipal committee. Population is 230,000 (2016) being mainly Muslim and Punjabi speaking.

Geography

Bhera is located in the middle of the motorway(M2) through Bhera interchage distance from Islamabad is 183KM and Lahore is 207KM, The river Jhelum is flows near the city. Neighbor tehsil are East side Malikwal city,West side Shapur, North Bhawal and South side Pindadan khan.
