Dark Legion Comics

Dark Legion Comics is a comics imprint published by Castalia House. Starting in 2018, it has sold digital comics online, and it also prints paper editions. Along with Arkhaven Comics, it promotes original comics stories and series. Dark Legion Comics focuses on already-completed projects by independent artists, that may be developed into ongoing franchises.[1]
Titles
- The first digital title was "Rebel Dead Revenge #1: Stonewall’s Arm", with art by by Gary Kwapisz (of Savage Sword of Conan).[2] Like the imprint's other titles, Issue #2, and "Rebel Dead Revenge #3: Running From the Devil", were made available through multiple platforms, including Kindle.[3]
- The second title was Brandon Fiardino's franchise series Chicago Typewriter: The Red Ribbon, with a digital release set for March 2018, followed by a print release in April. The series is set in an alternate version of 1920s Chicago, and combines urban myth with the occult. The artist/inker is Djibril Morrissette-Phan (Zack the Zombie Exterminator) and the colorist/letterer is James Greatorex (Some Kind of Blue Moon).[4][5] The series was nominated for a Dragon Award.
- "Gun Ghoul #1: Raising the Dead" by Will Caligan,[6] a conservative writer who was deplatformed during the 2018 online censorship controversies,[7] and "Gun Ghoul" issues #2, #3, and #4[8] were all released in August 2018, concluding its initial series.[9]
