David Harney (born 2 March 1947 in Jarrow, County Durham) is an English former professional football forward who played in the Football League for Grimsby Town, Scunthorpe United and Brentford.[1]
Career
Brentford
Harney joined Division Four side Brentford on trial in October 1969, but made just one first team appearance, as a late substitute in a 1-0 victory over Notts County.[2] He appeared in a London Challenge Cup tie for the reserve team against Tottenham Hotspur and also in a friendly versus Millwall, in which he scored, but was not offered a contract.[1]
