In Greek mythology, Deioneus (/daɪˈoʊniːəs/; Ancient Greek: Δηιονεύς) or Deion (/ˈdaɪ.ɒn/; Δηίων) is a name attributed to the following individuals:
- Father of Dia and father-in-law-to-be of Ixion, Deioneus was pushed by him into a bed of flaming coals so that Ixion wouldn't have to pay the bride price.[2] Also known as Eioneus.
- Son of Eurytus the Oechalian. He married Perigune, daughter of Sinis, whose father was killed by Theseus.[3]
