Disney XD is a cable television channel owned by The Walt Disney Company on Latin America and the Caribbean. It was launched on November 8, 1996 as The Fox Kids Network. The channel took on its current name on July 3, 2009, after its rebrand from the Jetix brand. It is broadcast throughout the region into five feeds. It features male-focused animated and sitcoms programming for kids and teenagers.[1] It is primarily marketed to boys from 6 to 14. It is directly operated by Disney & ESPN Media Networks and The Walt Disney Company Latin America, which are owned by The Walt Disney Company.

The channel was launched on November 8, 1996 as Fox Kids. On July 31, 2004 it was rebranded as Jetix, with new on-screen graphics and the premiere of new original shows developed by Disney. In late-2008, The Walt Disney Company announced that the channel will be rebranded as "Disney XD". In May 2009, the Latin American Disney branch eventually confirmed that Jetix will be rebranded as Disney XD. On July 3, 2009 the channel finally rebranded. On January 18, 2010 a Chilean feed was introduced (Pacific feed), which also broadcasts in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador with the Chilean time on screen (UTC-4/-3).
