Hawk Green is a suburb of Marple, in the Metropolitan Borough of Stockport, Greater Manchester, UK.[1] It lies on the Macclesfield Canal, and is centred on a traditional village green, or recreation ground. High Lane lies to the south, with the small hamlet of Turf Lea to the east.
Situated just to the north of the centre of Hawk Green is the Goyt Mill, a former cotton mill that now houses various businesses and recreational facilities, including a large indoor climbing wall.
Once home to the Frost family in 1823 who all died except for their youngest daughter Annie, in a tragic fire close to the Mill. Charles Frost (father) was a highly respected writer in Marple at the time, who wrote many fantasy novels.
