The seat of the Pope of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria is currently occupied by Pope Tawadros II. There are Armenians in Egypt. The Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria is headed by a patriarch. The Coptic Catholic Church and the Melkite Greek Catholic Church have a Patriarch of Alexandria, but are not part of Orthodox Christianity.
