According to the United Kingdom Census 2001, there are 1,503 residents in the electoral ward, 72.7% of them being able to speak Welsh.This increased to 1,704 at the 2011 Census but only 67.72% of this increased population were Welsh speakers. [1] The local government community of Bodorgan, including the village of Llangadwaladr and a number of other small hamlets, had a total of 900 inhabitants,[2] increasing slightly to 921 at the 2011 Census.[3]

It is served by Bodorgan railway station, which is located near the hamlets of Bethel and Llangadwaladr to the north-west. Bodorgan Hall is the largest country estate in Anglesey.

Until recently (2013) it was the Anglesey home of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
