Hans Korte (16 December 1899 – 8 April 1990) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Luftwaffe during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans Korte was captured by British troops in May 1945 and was held until October 1947.
