Karandighi (community development block) is an administrative division in Islampur subdivision of Uttar Dinajpur district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Karandighi police station serves this block. Headquarters of this block is at Karandighi. Dalkhola is an urban unit in this block.[1][2]

As per 2011 Census of India Karandighi CD Block had a total population of 368,322 all of which were rural. There were 150,125 males and 141,127 females. Scheduled Castes numbered 64,877 and Scheduled Tribes numbered 28,773.[4]

Literacy

As per 2011 census the total number of literates in Karandighi CD Block was 160,973 out of which 93,115 were males and 67,858 were females.[4]

NH 34 passes through the block and meets NH 31 in Dalkhola .
