Live at the Royal Albert Hall is a live album by singer Engelbert Humperdinck, released in 1997.

Background

This is from a performance at London's Royal Albert Hall on June 3, 1985,[1] featuring the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Packaging and title

On almost all of the releases of this performance, the Träumen mit Engelbert song "Follow My Heartbeat" is listed as "Come a Little Closer" (attributed to either Mel Tormé or Catherine C. Williamson, Gabriel Mekler, and Trevor Lawrence, or Copyright Control) or erroneously as "Come a Little Bit Closer" (a song written by Tommy Boyce, Bobby Hart, and Wes Farrell). This is probably due to song's recurring refrain of "come-a come-a come a little closer."

The song "If You Love Me, Really Love Me" is often listed as "If You Love Me (I Won't Care)."

The original CD was erroneously subtitled "with the London Philharmonic Orchestra."

Release

Classic World Productions released Live at the Royal Albert Hall on October 27, 1997.[1] The album has since been re-released many times under the same name, and as The Best of Engelbert Humperdinck Live and An Evening with Engelbert & the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, amongst others. The performance has also been released as a DVD.[2][3]
