The 1908–09 season was the 10th season for FC Barcelona.

Events

The crisis of the Barcelona arrives at its higher point. After the summer of 1908 only they remained 38 associates. November 11, 1908 Vicenç Reig catches the presidency but leaves it December 2. It is then when Joan Gamper, in a meeting dramatics with only 20 assistants, decides to catch the reins of the company and to direct it for the first time in an official way. Gamper recovers associates door by door and March 14, 1909, under its determined impulse, the Barcelona inaugurates the first land of play in property, known like the Field of the street Industry or The Escopidora, situated in this via, today silence Paris, between Urgell and Villarroel. After three seasons without successes, the Barcelona earns the Championship of Catalonia without losing no party. It is decided to return al Championship of Spain (Cup of the King) to Madrid, but is lost the first party of semifinals before Spanish of Madrid (2-3).
