Comet Ping Pong pizzeria

Pizzagate is a crowdsourced investigation by independent researchers and commentators into an alleged connection between child sexual abuse and people closely associated with Hillary Clinton. The investigation began in October 2016 after Wikileaks released the Podesta emails, which contain 58,660 emails[1] from the Gmail account of John Podesta, who was the chairman of Clinton's 2016 U.S. presidential campaign. Investigators exchanged information online via Twitter, Gab, 4chan, Reddit, and Voat.[2][3]

Andrew Breitbart

In September 2009, Project Veritas released a series of videos in which investigative journalists James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles successfully requested and received assistance from ACORN employees regarding how to set up a prostitution house with underaged girls from El Salvador.[4] Project Veritas and Andrew Breitbart worked together to expose ACORN.[5] On 4 February 2011, Breitbart tweeted, "How prog-guru John Podesta isn't household name as world class underage sex slave op cover-upperer defending unspeakable dregs escapes me."[6]

FBI document showing pedophile symbols

On 16 March 2010, Wikileaks uploaded an unclassified, law enforcement sensitive FBI document, dated 31 January 2007, that shows images of logos and symbols that pedophiles use to identify sexual preferences.[7] A part of the document states, "The BoyLover logo (BLogo) is a small blue spiral-shaped triangle surrounded by a larger triangle, whereby the small triangle represents a small boy and the larger triangle represents an adult man." In November 2016, investigators noticed that the logo for Besta Pizza—a business across the street from Comet Ping Pong—used this triangle symbol.[8] Within days, Besta Pizza changed their logo.[9] On 30 November, investigators found the same triangle symbol at Elpida, which is associated with the Clinton Foundation.[10] Elpida also changed their logo soon after the discovery.

In a Podesta email leaked on 18 October 2016, titled "Fwd: Dinner," John Podesta's brother Tony Podesta forwards an invitation from artist Marina Abramovic to a "Spirit Cooking dinner."[11] Spirit cooking is an intimate ceremony in which Abramovic offers blood for spirits to feed on.[12] The email revealed John Podesta's interest in modern art. This interest in art connected the Podestas to Comet Ping Pong pizzeria owner James Alefantis ("Jimmy Comet")[13] and Biljana Djurdjevic[14], whose art depicts children in sexually abusive situations.[15]

In an email leaked on 20 October 2016, titled "Re: Did you leave a handkerchief," Susan Sandler informs John Podesta that "the realtor" found a "square cloth handkerchief (white w/ black)" that "has a map that seems pizza-related." Podesta responds, "It's mine, but not worth worrying about."[16] On 3 November 2016, author Mike Cernovich wrote in reference to the email, "This is code. I know this from representing drug dealers."[17] Investigators looked for other potentially coded emails, such as an email leaked on 25 October 2016, titled "Re: Cheese," in which Herbert Sandler asks Podesta, "Do you think I’ll do better playing dominos on cheese than on pasta?"[18]

In an email leaked on 24 October 2016, titled "man, I miss you," Todd Stern tells John Podesta, "I'm dreaming about your hotdog stand in Hawaii..."[19] One definition of "hotdog" on Urban Dictionary, dated 13 January 2010, is "a derogatory term for referring to a person from Haiti." The example sentence is, "That Hotdog just sits around and plays dominos all day."[20] On 4 December 2016, Voat user TheGrimReader identified Dave Stone as a possible trafficking link between Podesta, Comet Ping Pong, and Hawaii.[21]

Clinton connections

The Podesta emails contain multiple references to Comet Ping Pong.[22] Investigators focused on Comet Ping Pong and James Alefantis after discovering his Instagram account "jimmycomet." Pictures on the account include a combination of very young children, graphic sexual imagery involving pizza, and construction work.[23] One picture shows a young girl with bags under her eyes taped to a table.[24] Another picture shows a man holding a young child in his arms and sharing a necklace.[25] Alefantis hashtags the picture "#chickenlovers," which is slang for an adult male sexually attracted to underage males.[26] The Instagram account also contains pictures showing direct relationships with Hillary Clinton, the Podestas, and Marina Abramovic. On 1 December 2016, investigators realized that jimmycomet's profile picture was a sculpture of Antinous, an adolescent boy with whom Hadrian had an erotic relationship.[27]

John Podesta

Investigators also discovered a possible connection between the Podestas and the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. McCann disappeared from Praia da Luz, Portugal on 3 May 2007. On 13 November 2016, Victurus Libertas, citing an "FBI insider," claimed, "John and Tony Podesta were in Praia da Luz, Portugal on May 3rd 2007—the day Madeleine McCann vanished. The Podesta brothers were staying with a friend [Clement Freud]. ... Freud owned a villa in Praia da Luz."[28] The Victurus Libertas article also noted that e-fit composite images of a suspect in the McCann case has a "resemblance" to both Podestas. On 3 December 2016, Voat user LegionWill posted that McCann and George Soros both have the same extremely rare genetic eye anomaly—coloboma.[29]

On 2 November 2016, redditor PleadingtheYiff connected Hillary Clinton with Laura Silsby[30], who was initially charged with child abduction in Haiti.[31] Silsby was found guilty of the reduced charge of arranging irregular travel.[32] On 24 November 2016, PleadingtheYiff connected Silsby and Alefantis to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.[33]

On 16 November 2016, redditor rutkdn discovered the suspicious death of Monica Petersen in Haiti.[34] Petersen had reported to a friend, Bella Robinson, that "there is human trafficking happening through the Clinton's Caraol Complex" in Haiti.[35] On 6 December 2016, Glenn Kessler of The Washington Post wrote a fact-checking article that argued that Monica Petersen "was an advocate for sex workers."[36] Additionally, Bella Robinson states in the article that "even after I confirmed that her death had nothing to do with the Clintons, he [rutkdn] made up stories that the family couldn’t get answers." In response, rutkdn argued that Petersen's mother and another friend, Domina Elle, do not believe that Petersen's death was a suicide and that the article failed to refute that the Clintons were involved with trafficking in Haiti.[37][38]

Murder of Seth Rich

Seth Rich was fatally shot in the Bloomingdale neighborhood of Washington, D.C. He was a 27-year-old employee of the Democratic National Committee (DNC).[39][40][41] At the time of his death, Rich was the Voter Expansion Data Director at the DNC, where he had been employed for two years and had worked on a computer application to help voters locate polling stations.[42][43][40][44]

In August, WikiLeaks offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to a conviction.[45][40]

Regardless of the different conspiracy theories, and the allegedly suspicious absence of the murder of Seth Rich and the PizzaGate "puzzle-holes" in corporate mainstream media stories about election interference, the following is generally held true by most outsider analysts:[citation needed] For whatever reasons, alive or dead, if Seth Rich was the actual source of the never-refuted authentic WikiLeaks documents,[citation needed] then the Russians did not hack the DNC server which was refused FBI inspection,[46][47][48] and all the excuses for conflict should be seen as transparent rallying for war profiteering.[citation needed]

Media reaction

On 21 November 2016, Cecilia Kang of The New York Times wrote an article declaring Pizzagate "false," "made-up," an "insane, fabricated conspiracy theory," and "fake news."[49] The original headline "Fact Check: This Pizzeria Is Not a Child Trafficking Site" later changed to "Fake News Onslaught Targets Pizzeria as Nest of Child-Trafficking." The article says that law enforcement is not investigating the claim, but it also says that the FBI "does not confirm or deny the existence of investigations." The article does not debunk the evidence; it only denies the allegations.[50] The article mainly portrays Alefantis as a victim and states that he "found dozens of made-up articles about Mrs. Clinton kidnapping, molesting and trafficking children in the restaurant’s back rooms." An article cited as an example, posted on The Vigilant Citizen, made no such claim and mentioned Clinton only in relation to Alefantis, John Podesta, and David Brock.[51]

Reddit banned r/pizzagate and all related subreddits on 22 November 2016. During the same time period, Twitter actively suppressed #Pizzagate from trending and auto-completing.[52] Abby Ohlheiser of The Washington Post wrote an article about the banning.[53] Ohlheiser portrays Pizzagate as a conspiracy theory that had been debunked by Snopes. The Snopes article, written by Kim LaCapria on 21 November 2016, declares "false" the claim that the Podesta emails "revealed the existence of a secret society of pedophiles operating through a pizza place loosely connected to Clinton associate David Brock," but the article cites only Kang's piece in The New York Times.[54]

On 25 November 2016, The Washington Post Editorial Board wrote a strongly worded denial of Pizzagate, calling it a "ludicrous conspiracy theory." It went on to call the allegations "absurd," "outright lunacy," "misinformation," "outright lies," "parasitical insanity," and "garbage." It concluded by stating that "Alefantis is more than entitled to sue for defamation and libel."[55]

On 28 November 2016, Douglas Ernst of The Washington Times noted that Andrew Breitbart's tweet "was being cited by online researchers as proof that they are onto something big." The article explained that the online research was focused on "D.C. power-player James Alefantis, owner of Comet Ping Pong. The Democrat fundraiser and pizza place owner, who is mentioned in 16 different WikiLeaks documents, had a public Instagram account that featured sexual innuendo and bizarre images of children. Accounts for Comet Ping Pong employees, which are now set to private, featured nudity involving men with slices of pizza strategically placed over their genitals." The article also mentioned that the New York Times and Washington Post had denied that the allegations had any truth.[56]

On 4 December 2016, Richard Cowen of Reuters reported that a 35-year-old man entered Comet Ping Pong while carrying an assault rifle.[57] The article repeatedly referred to Comet Ping Pong as a target of "fake news." Aquita Brown of the Metropolitan Police Department said that "no shots were fired." The next day, Faiz Siddiqui and Susan Svrluga of The Washington Post reported that 28-year-old Edgar Maddison Welch "walked in the front door" and "proceeded to discharge the rifle inside the restaurant."[58] The article claimed that Welch wanted to "self-investigate a false election-related conspiracy theory."

Investigators, in addition to Zerohedge, immediately suspected that the gunman incident might be a false flag operation.[59][60] Hannah Allam of McClatchy DC noted that "conspiracy peddlers" cited Welch's history as an actor and a removed security camera as evidence of a false flag.[61] Allam dismissed the false flag idea and advanced the media's narrative that "fake news" has "dangerous real-world consequences."

Missing children statistics near Washington DC

When the United States national average of missing children statistics are compared with statistics from the Washington metropolitan area (Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia) a shocking discrepancy results.[citation needed][62][63][64]
