New York's 34th State Senate district is one of 63 districts in the New York State Senate. It has been represented by Democratic Senator Alessandra Biaggi since 2019. Biaggi defeated former Independent Democratic Conference leader and Deputy Senate Minority Leader Jeffrey Klein in the 2018 Democratic primary, a victory that was considered a major upset.[3]

Geography
District 34 is located in the northern Bronx and southern Westchester County, including the neighborhoods of Spuyten Duyvil, Riverdale, Hunts Point, Castle Hill, Throggs Neck, Pelham Gardens, Pelham Parkway, City Island, and the town of Pelham.[4]
