Transcriptional enhancer factor TEF-4 also known as TEA domain family member 2 (TEAD-2) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the TEAD2 gene. TEAD-2 is a transcription factor.

Function

TEAD2 is a member of the mammalian TEAD transcription factor family (initially named the transcriptional enhancer factor (TEF) family), which contain the TEA/ATTS DNA-binding domain.

Clinical significance

Recent animal models indicating a possible association of TEAD2 with anencephaly.
